About StudyAI Hub

StudyAI Hub started as a personal spreadsheet: a college student keeping track of which AI tools were actually worth using for coursework, and which were hype. It outgrew the spreadsheet.

This site has one job — tell a student, in under a minute, whether a tool is worth their time and whether it is really free. Everything else follows from that.

Founder & Editor · Second-year student in computer science and economics

I run StudyAI Hub and I test every tool on it. I spend the money on subscriptions students actually ask about, use each tool for real coursework, and write down what breaks.

Writes about: I write about AI study tools, free student software perks, and study workflows for undergraduates.

Why this site exists

Search "best AI tools for students" and you get lists assembled from press releases, padded to fifty entries, where half the "free" tools ask for a card before you can do anything useful. StudyAI Hub is the correction: a short list of tools that were actually opened, used and checked for limits, with the downsides written down next to the upsides.

How tools get listed

The full standard, including what "free" means on this site and how ratings are decided, is written out on the How we test page.

How we make money

This site may earn a commission if you sign up for a paid plan through some outbound links, at no extra cost to you. A commission never changes a rating, an ordering, or whether a tool is listed at all. Star ratings and rankings are not for sale, and if that ever changes this page will say so plainly before it happens.

Corrections and contact

Found a great tool we're missing? A price that changed? A broken link? Reach out through the contact page — the list improves because readers flag things. Corrections are made in place, and a tool that keeps failing re-checks is removed for good.
